Meet the Team

Martin (Key Leader) & Ruth Turnbull

Martin has been the key leader of New Pastures Church since the year 2000. He and Ruth have three children, all studying at either college or university.
They are both involved in Next Generation and Martin heads up the running of Brilliant Bible Club, where Ruth is also a leader.
Martin is currently working as an auditor while Ruth is a Teaching Assistant at a local primary school. You can read Martin’s blog here

Mike (Elder) & Georgina Jones

Mike & Georgina have been at New Pastures since 2004. They have three grown-up children and are both leaders at Next Generation and Brilliant Bible Club.
Mike works in the IT Department of a large Builders Merchants while Georgina is an Early Years Practitioner at a local primary school. Click here to read Mike’s blog

Eddie (Elder) & Sonia Godoy

Eddie & Sonia have been involved at New Pastures Church for over 22 years. They were born and married in Chile and came to England in the late 1970’s, moving to Northampton in 1984 and have 4 grown up daughters.
Eddie leads the weekly Housegroup Bible Study. He is currently a Childrens Support Worker, based in Northampton while Sonia works for a Spanish company based in Northampton as a Sales Coordinator in the U.K.

Deacon: Ron & Mavis Thompson

Ron & Mavis Thompson

Although Ron was formally recognised as a Deacon in September 2007 both he and Mavis have served the church since the early 1980’s. They were married in 1969 whilst attending Bible college and have three grown up children and four grandchildren.
Until recently they both worked at NAYC ‘s Kings Park headquarters – Ron in the accounts department and Mavis as Domestic Supervisor. Ron has now retired.

Worship Co-Ordinator: Crawford & Jean Lindsay

Jean & Crawford Lindsay

Crawford is the worship co-ordinator for New Pastures Church. He has been leading the worship team for 20+ years. He stepped down from the role of Elder within the church in 2007 having served for about 23 years.
As well as his passion for music Crawford has a passion for the youth of the church and surrounding area; he and Jean were instrumental in the setting up of Livewire (now Next Generation) which they still lead. Together they lead a weekly Bible Study for teens within the church. They have two grown-up children; a daughter who now lives in Sheffield and a son who recently graduated from Dartington College in Devon.
