Please pray with us

We believe that God is a loving and caring God who expects us to bring Him our prayer requests. We believe that He listens to and answers prayer.

“Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them.” (Matt. 18: 19-20 NIV)

Please continue to pray for the following:

Simon Fletcher (updated 30 Jan 2010)
SimonSimon, a normally fit and active young man in his thirties, has, since October, suffered a number of seizures similar to epileptic fits. Linked to this there has been an effect on his short-term memory.
Doctors initially thought this was epilepsy but scans showed a low grade malignant tumour.

Simon is understandably terrified at what lies ahead, and has asked all who can to “pray hard”

It is a type of tumour that they’ve not seen many times before so don’t really know the best way to treat it. As it’s a slow growing one they are giving him 2 months off work and will do regular scans to monitor the tumour.
He could have radio therapy but would be allowed it only once and they think it would be better to wait until he needs it.

He is allowed to do his running again so he’s glad about that.

In Simon’s own words: “Keep praying for healing, it’s a trivial job for God!”

Please stand with us in prayer:
I would ask that each day, at 8am, 1pm and 8pm you lift Simon before our God. Seek God’s healing hand on him and surround the whole situation, and the whole family, in as much prayer as possible.

Please pray that God will remove this tumour and that next time scans are done they will reveal a miraculous healing and that Simon will come through this with a testimony of God’s goodness and love.

Pray for Simon, for peace of mind and that he will know God’s presence with him in a very tangible way.
Pray too for his wife Natalie and their young daughter Isabella, and for the wider family, as this is obviously a very difficult time for them.

Please pass on this request to all you know who love and trust our God.

“In the same way, prayer is essential in this ongoing warfare. Pray hard and long. Pray for your brothers and sisters. Keep your eyes open. Keep each other’s spirits up so that no one falls behind or drops out.” (Eph 6:18 MSG)
